Buying refurbished, used or second hand laptops can save you a great deal of money often saving between £50-£150 over their high street price.  

All of the used laptops we sell at The Laptop Fixers are in good condition and are supplied with a charger and battery.  Some may show signs of use and may have some scratches and scuff marks and anything more than this will be disclosed.  

Peace of Mind On Your Used Laptop Purchase

Warranty: The vast majority of our used laptops come with a 90 day (3 month) warranty.  Our newer refurbished laptops normally come with a 12 month warranty.   This in itself should completely remove any worries you may have about purchasing a used laptop or refurbished laptop. So, in the unlikely event that problems develop with your used or refurbished laptop purchase, we will resolve the problems for you as quickly as possible.

Refurbished Grading System

All our laptops are in a fully working condition unless stated.  They will all be capable to accessing the internet either by a wired network cable or wireless unless stated.  Most newer laptops will have internal wifi, older ones may have ane external USB dongle to connect to wifi.

Refurbished Grade A - Ex-Display or as new condition with a minor mark or blemish.  May have original box or supplied in a unbranded laptop box.  If manual / CDs provided by manufacturer then this will also be included as well as any accessories etc.  Battery holds excellent charge as expected of a new laptop (1-2 hours for normal sized laptops, 4 hours for netbooks).  May not have original power supply but will come with a new compatible one.  1 year warranty as standard.

Refurbished Grade B - Used condition with some minor scratches and marks on casing/screen.  May have a screw cover or hinge cover missing which doesnt affect use.  May not have original box or original power supply (a new or used power supply will be provided).  Battery charge cannot be guaranteed.  

Refurbished Grade C - Used condition with deep scratches/blemishes and marks.  May be missing a key or two (only if we cannot source the correct keys!), used power supply provided.  May be missing the battery or if one provided we cannot guarantee how long the charge will hold.  Casing could be cracked or damaged.

New - Boxed as new.  If you have requested our laptop free setup and configure service we will need to open the box.

Batteries

Unless stated, all of our new and refurbished (Grade A and Grade B) laptops will come with a battery. Our battery warranty is 'Dead on Arrival' (DOA). This means we will guarantee the battery will work on arrival.  We cannot guarantee how long the battery is capable of holding charge due to its previous use.
