The Laptop Fixers is the premier independent retail repair service in Dorset.  We are always looking for experienced techs to work with us.

If you are able to repair 30-40 systems per week and dont mind greeting customers in person and over the phone, diagnosing and repairing laptops and desktops including Macs and PCs then we would like to hear from you.

Are you able to completely dissemble and reassemble all brands of laptops?

Are you willing to contribute to the upkeep and cleanliness of your work space and our retail areas?

You must be capable of performing on site service visits to customers homes and businesses.

You must have previous experience with PC and Laptop Repairs.  

Ability to diagnose and repair all Laptop and PC problems.

Repairs include:
Replacement of screens, inverters, hard drives, keyboards, motherboards etc.
Component level repairs such as motherboards and graphics card, DC socket & USB Port replacement.  Soldering Skills required.
Data recovery, Software and system repairs.  Windows and MacOS installations and upgrades.  Virus Removal etc.
Networking and Windows Server knowledge beneficial.

Other tasks include stocktaking, parts ordering, customer liaison and working in our computer retail shop dealing customers, sales and advice.  You may be required to open and close the shop unsupervised and occasionally manage the shop/workshop.

You may be required to work off-site at times.

You will be asked to display technical ability during your interview.

UK Wide Support Technicians

Self Employed or Work From Home

Location: All UK locations

We are expanding our repair coverage area and are looking for self employed PC technicians who we can employ on a per job basis.

Our UK expansion will be ramped up over the next 12 months and would like to have experienced technicians available on-hand to work on a job per job basis.  

Jobs to be arrange around customer and your own work commitments (i.e. evenings, weekends or daytime if available).  You will be paid on completion of the job at the rate of 75% of the billing cost (excluding cost of parts).  Terms and Conditions will be sent to you on receipt of your CV.

You must have previous experience with PC and Laptop Repairs and/or work in the computer repair field.

Ability to diagnose and repair all Laptop and PC problems on customer premises.

On-Site Repairs include:
Diagnosis and replacement of faulty screens, inverters, hard drives, keyboards, motherboard, memory etc.
Data recovery, Software and system repairs.  Windows and MacOS installations and upgrades.  Virus Removal etc.
Networking and Windows Server / Exchange.

Spare Parts, screens, inverters etc available from us at trade price - we buy in bulk to bring the costs down.

Repairs you are unable to perform on site (such as motherboard repairs, socket replacements, graphics chip reflow, screen replacements etc) can be couriered to our workshop for repair and delivered back to you (sometimes same day).

You will be added to our UK database and when jobs become available in your area you will be notified by phone call or email.
